The Polteran calendar consists of 304 days a year with a month lasting 43 or 44 days. Weeks are 8 days long with about 24 hours per day. There is 7 months total in a year on Poltera. The calendar is even enough that the dates never change from year to year. They will always be the same.

Holidays & Seasons

• Enunn (Maniel 12): A holiday about new journies, mystery, and withering. Celebrations last from dusk until dawn. With morale low in the middle of winter, Softbots have this one winter holiday to gather around a fire with good food to tell stories.
• Zean (Bielach 16): A solemn holiday celebrated after the first day of spring. It is about memory and the fallen. It is celebrated with songs and prayers for those who did not make it through winter.
• Rok (Bielach 27): A cultural holiday that is associated with romance. It is a rather chaotic time where SoftBots engage in private or public competitions, usually athletic in nature. It is not uncommon to see them running around without clothes either. (This is basically SoftBot Valentine's day.)
• Sanae (Honiel 14): A holiday that celebrates new beginnings. It is often associated with fertility. Celebrations last from dusk until dawn and include feasting and intoxication.
• Jeadual (Amel 16): A celebration of summer. Festivities include large bonfires, feasts, and intoxication. Some SoftBots will choose to atone for their past sins, throwing them into the fire for new beginnings. Some cities may set up festival booths.
• Arell (Amel 32): Another summer festival that centers around music. Feasts and intoxication are not uncommon.
• Pofil (Kusha 39): A solemn holiday celebrated after the fall equinox. It is associated with the parting of ways and is a two-day celebration. The tradition includes fasting.
• Aerunmin (Pyriel 17): A large festival designed to be the last happy celebration before the coming of winter. There are usually parades, festival stands, feasts, and intoxication. It is the largest holiday SoftBots celebrate.
• Luyln (Kiram 1): A solemn holiday, one where SoftBots air their grievances. Winter is harsh on Poltera, not everyone survives. Traditions include declarations of intent, sacrifices, and expressions of forgiveness. It is also the day many SoftBots who live in secluded areas to travel to large cities to take shelter.
