Submitting a Design for Approval
So! You have a design that’s been approved on the Discord, and now you’re ready to add it to the site! But… how?? Are there rules?
For those of you not so savvy with Lorekeeper sites just yet, here’s a guide!
Also, FYI: Design updates for currently existing SoftBots work the exact same way!
Step 1:
I’ve given myself a MYO slot just for this, lmao
So, what you’re going to want to do is hit the Submit MYO Design tab on the side!
(The page might look way different from this by the time you see it, but the tab should still be there)
It’ll take you to the MYO Approval Request page. Click Create Request.
Now, you’re here!
Whoa, so many tabs! It can be overwhelming, but don’t worry! That’s what this guide is here to help with!
Step 2:
Make your way through all the tabs!
(Also, leaving the page will not delete your request! You can return to it at any time by going to the Activity dropdown and hitting Design Approvals.)
AND DON’T FORGET TO SAVE EACH ONE!!!!!
Comments:
You can honestly just leave this alone unless you want to state that the design was approved on the Discord MYO-WIPs channel. You don’t need to though.
Hit save.
Masterlist Image:
Put your Image here! Remember to put proper credit in the Designers and Artists section- especially if you commissioned someone else to design the Bot for you.
Please also make sure the image is transparent and PNG. No one’s going to steal it I promise you! We have a very annoying watermark that we apply to every SoftBot.
While we used to accept non transparent and JPEGs, we will send your request back to you if you give them to us now.
Don’t worry about the thumbnail- we’ll make one for you!
Hit save.
Add-Ons:
If you’re using any mods from your inventory, please put them here! They will automatically be removed from your inventory.
(Ignore the fact that I have not added a ML image. This is a tutorial for christ’s sake!)
Hit save when all the mods you want to use are selected.
Don’t worry if it collapses upon refresh, they’re still selected!
Traits
The big important one!!
Make sure to get the trait order right~
The first ones you can play with are:
Species: (This should be grayed out so you can’t change it)
Species Rank: (Unless you have a super special MYO slot, you should select either Civilian or Nomad ONLY.)
Character Rarity: (Should be grayed out as well.)
Character Title: This is optional, and we use it like design titles mostly.
---
And now, the main event: The traits themselves!
We have a specific order we’d like to see them in, so please take note of that!
-
Animal Ears/Special Ears/Mechanical Ears (Please state what animal/special set you’re using in the extra info section!)
-
Animal Tail/Special Tail/Mechanical Tail (Please state what animal/special set you’re using in the extra info section!)
-
Red/Black/Vibrant/Pastel (Blood colour section. If Vibrant or Pastel, please put what colour in the extra info section.)
-
Small/Medium/Long/Extra Long/Nub (Horn sizes. No need for extra info)
-
Base/Middle/Tip (Drape Placement Type. No need for extra info)
-
Fabric/Fur/Hide/Metal/Nonstandard (What the drape is made of. Only nonstandard requires extra info.)
-
One/Two/Three+/None (Drape Layers. Does not need extra info.)
-
Any mods you’d like to use go after all that.
Be aware things like Glowing Blood/Markings will appear as just Blood/Markings rather than starting with Glowing, and wing types will be Feathered/Webbed/Insect/Mixed.
---
Here’s a visual of what mine looks like!
(Also, mods will automatically sort alphabetically after approval- cool, huh?)
NOTE
If your SoftBot has a trait like a specific type of mini wings, please pick between feathered/webbed/mechanical instead of just 'Mini Wings'!
The nonspecific version is a canopy for the more specifically labelled versions. The same happens with the Glow Mod - there's a markings and blood version.
Now that you’ve got that all figured out, hit save!
Step 3:
Head on back to the Status tab and hit SUBMIT REQUEST!! You are now done and can rest easy until we either approve or send it back to you in a cancel with feedback.
Congratulations, you’ve done it! You’re well on your way to being a Lorekeeper Master!!
