Traits
Animal Ears (Normal)
All Normal SoftBot ear types are based on furred mammal ears from Earth! They come in many shapes and sizes: Dog-like, Cat-like, and more! They all must be furred, however. No naked mole rat ears!
Under the spoiler are several different Normal ear types. From left to right: Cat, Stoat, Wolf, Deer, and Rabbit.
NOTE: When creating a SoftBot with Normal ears, please name that ear type instead of just saying it's Normal!
Mechanical Ears (Exclusive)
Entirely unfurred, mechanical ears are seen as an oddity, and are Exclusive! Those that rock them are treated with reverence and awe.
Below in the spoiler are examples of several different Exclusive ear types.
Special Ears (Special)
Furred ears that are a bit unique and are not found on Earth mammals are considered Special! This goes for larger than normal ears as well- something can be an Earth mammal ear type, but if it's huge compared to the head of the SoftBot, it is Special.
Under the spoiler are examples of several different Special ear types. From left to right: Large Ribboned, Wings, Plume, Large Mouse, and Batty.
NOTE: When creating a SoftBot with Special ears, please name that ear type instead of just saying it's special!
Nonstandard Tail (Unique)
Tails that don't fit regular rarity criteria.
Examples are horse tails or tails made out of material that aren't organic/mechanical in nature.
Animal Tail (Normal)
All Normal SoftBot tail types are based on furred mammal tails from Earth! They come in many shapes and sizes: Dog-like, Cat-like, and more! They all must be furred, however. No rat tails (unless they have obvious fur)!
Under the spoiler are several different Normal Tail types. From left to right: Fox, Cat, Lion, Shiba, and Rabbit/Deer.
NOTE: When creating a SoftBot with a Normal Tail, please name that Tail type instead of just saying it's Normal!
Mechanical Tail (Exclusive)
Entirely unfurred, mechanical tails are seen as an oddity, and are Exclusive! Those that rock them are treated with reverence and awe, just like with those with mechanical ears. Even more so if the SoftBot has both at once!
Within the spoiler are examples of several different Exclusive tail types.
Special Tail (Special)
Furred and partially-furred tails that are a bit unique and are not found on Earth mammals are considered Special! This goes for longer than normal tails as well- something can be an Earth mammal tail type, but if it's huge compared to the body of the SoftBot, it is Special.
Within the spoiler below are examples of several different Special tail types. From left to right: Spade, Long Flex, Fishy, Split, and Large Curl.
NOTE: When creating a SoftBot with a Special Tail, please name that tail type instead of just saying it's special!
Pastel (Exclusive)
Any pastel colour of blood is considered exclusive, including white and silver.
Toggle the spoiler to see more examples of colours considered Exclusive.
Vibrant (Special)
Any saturated colour that isn't Red, Black, or pastels, is considered Special.
This rarity of blood also encompasses dark greys and browns.
Toggle the spoiler to see more examples of the range of colours that Special rarity allows.
Black (Normal)
Along with Red, Black is one of the two most common blood colours.
Red (Normal)
Along with Black, Red is one of the two most common blood colours.
Nub (Exclusive)
A smooth, much shorter than average horn. SoftBots are born with nub horns, but it's very unusual for them to carry this trait into adulthood.
Extra Long (Exclusive)
An extra long tube horn. Good for fanciful displays and showing off, but depending on the size it can really strain the neck. There's no definitive size limit, but don't make horns that go into orbit, please.
Royals, Nobles, and Guardians with extra long horns can magically retract them right down to being a nub, if they desire. Civilians and Nomads unfortunately lack this feature and must be very careful where they lay their head- but it's super rare for them to have extra long horns anyway.
Medium (Normal)
A straight, medium sized horn. The second most common horn length.
The length shown to the side is the maximum length for a medium length horn.
Small (Normal)
A small, straight horn. The most common horn length.
The horn shown to the side is the maximum length a small horn can be.
Overgrown (Unique)
A drape that has grown where it shouldn't have, beyond the original point of growth.
Back (Exclusive)
A drape type typically reserved for the Vampire subtype, but may be curiously seen on other SoftBots as well.
On a regular SoftBot, it appears as a capelike attachment.
When on a Vampiric SoftBot, the drape can unfold into wings with the same pattern as the drape.
Hide (Special)
SoftBots may occasionally grow a drape made of organic material other than fabric, such as leather or paper, but it's rather rare.
